Even though Sun Network ruled the Kannada movies genre for decades, they didn't launch the HD movie channel.

no one will launch HD Movie channel, reason costs more and it takes lot of bandwidth which broadcasters are not willing to invest. very less movies are upscaled to HD. so rerun will decrease the viewership and add revenue.

Star Suvarna has potential to launch HD movie channel and it's content library. Majority of their library has HD content compared to Udaya.
Providing HD feed doesn't hamper it's revenue, unless it's content is not upto the mark..
